Beautiful spotlighting technique

Update: Virtual Hostess Club now full!

Moving on from the Polar Party samples to Beautiful Season. This is a gorgeous stamp and you can turn the bird into pretty much any little bird you like. Well, maybe not an owl...

Here we’ve used the spotlighting technique and the card was shamelessly CASEd from one I found on the web by an American demonstrator called Fran Sabad. The main image was stamped once onto Confetti White in Basic Gray and left uncoloured. A second image was stamped onto a smaller piece of Confetti White, coloured and then punched out. You carefully overlay the circle on top of the main image to line it up and there you have it. Everything is popped up to give it dimension.

Stamps: Beautiful Season
Cardstock: Confetti White
Ink: Basic Gray, Cherry Cobbler
Accessories: Watercolour Wonder™ crayons, blender pens, Seam binding ribbon – Cherry Cobbler

  1. This image is perfect for this technique! A beautiful card, even if that poor birdie will never be an owl... :)
